Missouri LTAP’s equipment loan program offers various pieces of equipment for loan to local agencies. The equipment includes a retroreflectometer, portable speed radar sign, traffic counters, and material testing equipment.
Local agencies are encouraged to take advantage of these items as a way of saving money versus purchasing equipment that may only be needed for a short time. The retroreflectometer can be very helpful to an agency in developing an assessment or management method of compliance to the retroreflectivity guidelines. The material testing equipment can be used by an agency on local public projects funded with federal-aid where an agency may only need the use of equipment for a short period. An agency should send a loan request for equipment to the Missouri LTAP office. If the requested equipment is checked out, your name will be put on a waiting list. Agencies are normally limited to keeping equipment no longer than a month unless there is no waiting list at which point other arrangements may be made. Each agency will be asked to sign an agreement when the equipment is checked out. The equipment loan agreement, list of available equipment and equipment loan request are listed below.
